Premises Liability: Settlement of $900,000 (Nine Hundred Thousand Dollars) for woman with back injury who fell through unguarded stairwell Premises Liability: Settlement of $185,000.00 (One Hundred Eighty-five Thousand Dollars) in slip and fall case involving unshoveled sidewalk at fast food restaurant. Premises Liability: Settlement of $125,000 (One Hundred Twenty-five Thousand Dollars) for elderly client's injuries and wrongful death in fall due to protruding bricks in sidewalk. Premises Liability: Thirty Thousand Dollar ($30,000) settlement for rotator cuff tear due to slip and fall on driveway ice. Sexual Harassment: $228,827 (Two Hundred Twenty-eight Thousand, Eight Hundred and Twenty-seven Dollars) settlement with State for female half-way house inmate sexually abused by prison guard. Sexual Harassment: Settlement of $200,000 ( Two Hundred Thousand Dollars) for sexual harassment of female salesperson at auto dealership. Sexual Harassment: $59,000 (Fifty-Nine Thousand Dollars) judgment for chiropractor employee for sexual harassment by employer. Workers’ Compensation: Settlement of $160,000.00 (One Hundred Sixty Thousand Dollars) for knee injury, where insurance company contested whether knee problem related to original work injury. Workers’ Compensation: Settlement of $35,000.00 (Thirty Five Thousand Dollars) for neck strain injury. Client’s prior lawyer had recommended settlement of $10,000.00. Workers’ Compensation: $150,000 (One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollar) settlement after collecting full weekly benefits for 17 years for logger due to neck injury. Criminal Cases: Hunter acquitted of negligent homicide for killing fellow hunter in shooting accident Criminal Cases: State Trooper accused of breaking girlfriends nose in assault acquitted under claim of self defense. Criminal Cases: Trucker's case dismissed after 11-1 hung jury for negligent homicide for taking eyes off the road and killing two people in breakdown lane.
